International Power Supply Cables & Power Cords

Standard incoming electrical service is delivered through power cables from your local electrical utility company to electric meters that record electrical consumption in kilowatt hours, usually on a monthly basis. From the meters the incoming voltage connects to distribution panel boxes in residential and commercial buildings. These panel boxes have heavy duty "main breakers" of 100, 200, 300 or more Amps capacity, depending upon the total estimated amperage draw of all circuits being connected in the main panel box. Most residential service hook-ups have one main panel box and possibly one or more smaller sub panel boxes, depending upon individual requirements. In commercial buildings there can be one or more large capacity main distribution boxes feeding line voltage into multiple smaller distribution boxes, each with its own main breaker feeding groups of individual circuits and controlled by smaller capacity circuit breakers for the individual circuits they power in the building. The size and amperage rating for each circuit breaker is determined by the power requirements for that circuit. Circuits feeding areas of minimal power consumption require smaller capacity single phase circuit breakers rated for 10 or 15 Amps. Circuits supplying current for air conditioning systems, electrical appliances, or other types of higher current draw items usually require double or triple breakers appropriately rated for the amperage draw of that circuit.

Whenever possible, we recommended that all high-end audio, home theater and surround sound systems be connected to a dedicated electrical circuit. This will minimize possible line interference that could be caused by other electrical or electronic components being connected to that circuit. In effect, you are isolating your system's components from the potential for outside interference. This will insure the delivery of clean, filtered voltage to your sound system. Using electrically approved high-end power cables to supply the electricity for dedicated circuits is recommended over the standard wiring normally used for circuits running from a panel box to the wall outlets in your audio room. Once you have provided a dedicated line (circuit), you will be ready to connect and power up your audio system, using our high-end power supply cords as required to maximum your component's performance.

Each three conductor leg of our patented Tricormaxial™ Progressive Geometric Multi-conductor/Multi-Gauged™ Power Cable is a composite overall #10.5 AWG, sufficient to supply clean, filtered voltage to all of your system's components with capacity to spare. The patented design of this cable allows voltage flow to "seek the path of least resistance" thereby enhancing and promoting fast, efficient, clean voltage flow. Components do not have to work as hard. They run cooler, more efficiently and have longer life.

Soundstring™ Power Supply Cords are an extension of our power supply cable. They carry voltage supplied from wall outlets to all of the individual system components they power. We manufacture three types of power supply cords for audio components, each designed to provide maximum component performance within specific amperage draws. Each of the three power cords is designed using our Progressive Geometric Multi-conductor/Multi-Gauge™ technology. Our patented Tricormaxial™ High Out-put power supply cord is recommended for use with all components rated for 20 to 30 amps. Our Medium Out-put Power Supply Cord is rated for use with all components rated for 10 to 20 amps. Our Low Out-put Digital Power Supply Cord is designed and rated for use with components drawing up to 10 Amps. It is specifically designed for digital use with DACS, CD/DVD/SACD players, outboard phono pre-amps and other types of higher speed small transformer devices.
